Tom Cole is an award-winning, multi-disciplined Director from London, now based in Los Angeles.

 

Over his twenty year career, Tom has directed projects in the UK, USA, South Africa, and Canada. Most recently, he has directed promos for ABC, including the season launch of American Idol, Billboard Music Awards, a UNICEF Ukraine PSA with the cast of GREY’S ANATOMY, and a retrospective for SCANDAL. His recent directing work for HULU, includes directing promos for CAREER OPPORTUNITIES IN MURDER AND MAYHEM, starring Mandy Patinkin, WELCOME TO CHIPPENDALES, and most recently, BLACK CAKE. He has directed commercials for EA Games and G-Technology, and has experience in music videos, directing for Steve Aoki, T.J.R. and K.Flay. His music video for PLYA’s ‘Thinking of You’ received international recognition, winning Best Music Video four times. 

 

He brings a strong editing, design and VFX background to all of his work. As well as his dry, very dry, British wit. He has a child-like love for directing and a passion for filmmaking, and he brings that bubbling enthusiasm to all his shoots.

 

Tom has a BA(hons) in Film and Television Production from the University of Westminster Film School. When he isn’t directing, he enjoys drawing illustrations and taking long walks with his wife and dog.
